Career prior to EUROPA:

• Business Development Consultant – Self Employed – for a variety of companies including Design and Advertising, Web Services, Software Designers and Event Production
• Sales and Marketing Director for an Event and New Media Production Company – Xplorer.
• Commercial Director for an exhibition registration company – B+L Systems
• And a variety of Sales, Marketing and Purchasing positions within and around the IT industry going back to 1987.

Key knowledge/skills areas:

• Telemarketing and Nurturing campaigns – Account and project management
• Successful as an ex-Researcher, I help mentor and train many of the new researcher recruits in calling techniques, commercial messaging and some technical areas such as System p and System i. I also am involved in on-going training of researchers.
• I have worked in the NHS and Local Government space extensively
• My knowledge extends through the majority of the IBM server offering, i.e. System x, System p, System i as well as storage and much of the IBM software portfolio.

Campaigns worked on at EUROPA:

I have worked on the majority of IBM-based campaigns as both a researcher and an Account Manager over the last three years. In addition to the major server offerings and software I have also worked on ERP solutions campaigns such as Geac. In addition I worked extensively for 18 months in building and nurturing the Local Government and NHS databases for IBM Public Sector and became expert in this field.

About me and my life!.....

As a Father of two, (Gabriel and Eva Mae), and a husband there isn’t much down time! But, between Gabriel’s karate lessons, kid’s parties, trips to the swimming pool etc. I get a chance to indulge my hobby of photography and have been fortunate enough to have people pay cash money to put them on their walls! It’s mainly on their cloakroom walls, but the Mona Lisa was hung in a W.C. for many years so there’s hope yet. Aside from that, I follow Manchester United’s results – having been born I Manchester, I’m allowed! – but I doubt that last bit will slip by the editor due to possible adverse reaction from every other football supporter in the land.
