This role requires demonstrable experience of the IT business development process, particularly in the areas of professional telemarketing, campaign management and channel marketing. It also requires excellence in the communication and people management skills, necessary to win the confidence of a team of IT sales professionals, and the biggest IT industry organisations.
This is a hybrid job that not many candidates fit. This is agency life, with a similar but subtly different mindset from client-side operation. It requires both sales and marketing talent; it requires an attention to the detail, the process and the more literate elements of IT business development that escapes many; and it requires a willingness to multi-task and take responsibility for menial as well as management tasks, all without the 'large company safety-net'.
This role will suit a charismatic but realistic individual who has gathered considerable experience across the broad canvass of IT sales and marketing, and who has the energy, the creativity and flexibility to fit into a small but rapidly expanding business. In return this job probably offers more variety and security than can be found elsewhere in the IT Industry right now.
